2/29/2024 0 Comments Vivaldi worksI haven't checked everything, but in what I could see in a minute or two, everything is there, except my tabs that disappeared into nothingness (A good total of maybe 75-100 tabs, yeah it may be one of the reason of the crash in the first place).Books about Antonio Vivaldi and his music H. With hope, and not wanting to recove every little bit of data by hand, I closed it, moved back in place "User Data" and tried again with it, and to my surprise, it worked ! Nearly everything was there. I did, and surprise ! It worked, but without my data. I decided that in this case I would just move aside my "User Data" folder, launch vivladi without it and hope for the best. I then launched vivaldi again to see that it still isn't working. After that I oppened the vivaldi website to take the newest update (.26 to be precise) and updated my browser. I just got back from uni and checked once more that my vivaldi is indeed dead, no surprise here, it still was. For the full version number I don't know how to find it since I can't access my browser)Įdit : I found my exact version number in the "last version" file of vivaldi, here it is ".24"Įdit 2 : In short, the good news is that my vivaldi works again, bad news is that I lost a bit of data, but nothing unrecoverable or important. (Before the crash I was normally up to date, so 5.2, but I'm not 100% sure, regardless, now that I've updated my browser it should be in 5.2. In hope someone has ideas on how to fixe this mess (I'll start the recovering of my local/sync data in the meantime in case reset is the only viable solution) My last 2 options are to delete my local vivaldi data and/or sync data if the first one isn't enough, but I would prefer to do neither if posible. Sync issue was mentionned on the internet, and a fix was to launch Vivaldi offline, but doesn't working too. I also read in the pinned post about making a new profile, but I can't since my browse don't launch, and private mode don't seems more helpfull. For now I've tried : restarting my pc, manually update vivaldi in case it could fix the issue, using private mode to access settings (but doesn't work like said earlier). Yesterday my browser worked fine, but today it decided to stop working. Very straightforward, I can't do anything with my vivaldi at the moment because it doesn't want to open, the only thing that's working for now are the private windows, but settings don't seems to work even when in private mode (the settings window open, but it's empty and don't load).
